Amsterdam Dance Event · 21–25 October 2026

A five-act journey through sound.

A cinematic ADE itinerary built around contrast: acoustic space and sub-bass, intimate listening and monumental architecture, slow immersion and physical release.

5 days 13 core events 8 venue environments Designed around early Bonobo, Commodo, Simula, Waeys, Aukai and left-field UK energy
Wednesday · 21 October

Opening credits

Begin with movement, then let the city dissolve into projection and cinematic electronics.

PlayfulWeightless
Leave with generous time for Westergas, entry queues and a change of pace.
Thursday · 22 October

Transformation

Move from environmental installation to warmth, then into modular machinery and optional bass impact.

SuspendedMechanical
Cross from Amsterdam Noord to Plantage; keep the transfer practical and unhurried.

Reset

Dinner and quiet

Silence · food · recovery

Do not fill every hour. The later modular performance will have more impact after a real meal and a sensory break.

Friday · 23 October

Confrontation

A nearly motionless opening, a long reset, industrial unease and the week’s hardest bass climax.

SubmergedDetonation
12:30–21:30
Essential reset

Lunch, sleep, dinner and silence

Recovery · anticipation

Friday night contains two physically demanding spaces. Treat the long break as part of the composition, not as empty time.

Allow roughly 30 minutes from WestWeelde to Melkweg. These are separate tickets.
Saturday · 24 October

Spectacle

Improvised machines, a deliberate reset, monumental visual composition and UKG release.

MechanicalEuphoric

Dinner and sensory break

Darkness · distance · anticipation

Leave STOOR before saturation. Max Cooper works best after quiet and darkness.

Walk within the Westergas complex from Fabrique des Lumières to Gashouder.
Sunday · 25 October

Resolution

A final burst of improvised machinery, followed by deep dub gravity and a deliberate ending.

IntenseSubmerged
Paradiso to Melkweg is a short central transfer; use the gap to eat something small.
How to use the programme

Protect the dynamics.

Do not fill every gap

Meals, silence and travel are part of the pacing. Removing the resets will flatten the week into one long queue.

Follow artists, not event brands

At mixed lineups, prioritise the named artists in each card. A festival’s overall genre label is too broad.

Keep optional events optional

Wednesday and Thursday still form complete stories without the late additions. Sleep may improve the stronger nights.
